Hardware built for the room it actually occupies.
PrecisionDCOS can be deployed as distributed Field enclosures, enterprise NX rack platforms, freestanding Industrial Edition lineups or integrated racks. The form factor follows the real interface, environment, cable, service and operating requirements—not a universal appliance assumption.

One operating contract, multiple physical forms
Select the package from the installation boundary.
PrecisionDCMS Field Edition
Distributed industrial acquisition for physical I/O, serial interfaces, local hardwired annunciation and bounded deterministic behavior. Available in wall, rack-adjacent, freestanding and skid-integrated forms.
Best fit
Close to sensors, packaged equipment or a bounded field-interface scope
PrecisionDCMS NX
Enterprise x86 monitoring for Ethernet-native facility, network, compute, storage and cluster systems in a controlled technical-space rack.
Best fit
Conditioned IT or data-center rack environments
PrecisionDCMS Industrial Edition
Freestanding, lineup-compatible hardware that packages Field, NX, OT networking, OOB, protected power, termination and local operations for switchgear rooms, microgrids and industrial plants.
Best fit
Central electrical, energy, mechanical or industrial control spaces
Integrated Rack Solutions
Pre-staged racks combining NX compute, network, OOB, storage, power distribution and selected site services under one FAT/SAT package.
Best fit
Repeatable site-edge, regional, pilot and customer-private service deployments
Selection matrix
Compare the hardware platforms against the decision that matters.
| Decision | Field Edition | NX | Industrial Edition | Integrated Rack |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Primary environment | Electrical/control room, equipment area or packaged skid | Conditioned IT/technical rack | Switchgear room, microgrid building, central plant or industrial control room | Conditioned technical space or packaged rack deployment |
| Physical form | Wall, rack-adjacent, freestanding or skid-integrated enclosure | 1U/2U enterprise server | Freestanding single- or multi-bay lineup | 19-inch equipment rack |
| Base physical I/O | Yes | No | Field capability when configured; optional NX-only variant | Optional through Field enclosure |
| Local full monitoring | Field Standalone option | Yes | Yes when configured as Standalone or local NX | Yes through NX profile |
| Hosted monitoring | Field + NX-Cloud | Optional federation | Industrial + NX-Cloud | Available |
| Local HMI | Optional | Web / console | Door-mounted HMI and local service interface by reference design | Console / web / optional display |
| Cable model | Distributed field cable and quick-connect interfaces | Network and rack cabling | Top/bottom field, fiber, network and control-power entry | Structured rack cabling |
| Availability | Lite or Standard | Lite or Standard | Lite or Standard A/B lineup | Single or multi-node by design |
The approved Basis of Design may combine several forms. A campus may use distributed Field enclosures near equipment, an Industrial Standard Lineup in the main electrical room and NX rack platforms in the NOC or data hall.
Product boundary
The enclosure does not determine monitoring authority.
Authority stays where it is defined
The physical enclosure does not determine monitoring authority. Field Standalone, local NX and NX-Cloud remain the supported authoritative monitoring locations. Industrial Edition packages the selected runtime and supporting hardware without creating a competing alarm engine.
